Introduction of My Life's Autobiography

Welcome to my life! My name is Anna Moore and I am a student at the University of Oklahoma. I am twenty years old and graduating at the end of the spring semester. My major is Psychology with a minor is Sociology Criminology. I am hoping to get my master's degree in Forensic Psychology. I want to work within the prison system and hopefully one day join the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I have played golf since I was twelve years old and piano since I was eight. I was born in Mobile, Alabama then moved to Houston, Texas when I was ten. I have two littles sisters (14 and 18) and one little brother (17) who are my favorite people in the world. I have one dog, named Bama, and he is the cutest boxer ever!

I love cooking and hanging out with my friends. My favorite food is sushi and fro-yo. I want to learn to make sushi, but have never gotten around to doing so. If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be Italy. I have been studying italian in school and hope to become fluent one day. I listen to a bunch of different genres of music, depending on my mood. I love Criminal Minds and Parks and Recreation. I am also obsessed with Star Wars and Marvel.

Over the past Christmas break, I went to Orange Beach, Alabama and New Orleans, Louisiana. I have visited Orange Beach so many times before, but it was my first visit to New Orleans. Obviously, we stopped at Cafe Du Monde and it was worth all the hype. I love traveling and visiting new restaurants, so this trip was lots of fun. I could eat cajun food and gumbo for every meal, so I thrived in New Orleans. That is just a peak at what I am all about!

  1. Oh, forensic spcyhology sounds like a fascinating career path to follow, Anna! My dad is a sociologist, and specifically a criminologist... but he did mostly statistical work, not number-crunching. Definitely not out there in the field the way FBI agents are! Trying to get inside the heads of the heroes and heroines of the epics is definitely a forensic project... being a forensic psychologist who is a consultant to the kings would be a fun character to imagine. And these epic kings need all the insight they can get, as you will discover.
And your Bama looks adorable! I really like Boxers: they are SO STRONG. One of my neighbors had a Boxer who liked to stand up with his paws on your shoulder and look you in the face (he was big!)... and you could just feel that he was all muscle, like some kind of Super-Dog.

Hey Anna! Wow there is a lot in your post I feel like I know so much about you already. I have also played piano since I was really young. My mom forced me to take lessons against my will but now that I'm older, I'm really glad she continued to make me practice because the piano is such a beautiful instrument. Did you have the same experience as I did with the piano? Also, can you still play now?

  3. Hi Anna! A career working within the prison system and in the FBI sounds fascinating. Your dog Bama is absolutely adorable and he looks precious just sitting in the flowers. I love sushi too and it's surprisingly super easy to make at home as long as you have sushi roller. I always make a ton with my family because it's so much cheaper to make it yourself than to go out to sushi restaurants, and its fun to create your own rolls!

  4. Hi Anna, really interesting stuff. I almost went into forensic science over at UCO, but decided to go into Biology here at OU. I do not have any sisters, but I have one brother who is 17 as well. I also think Italy is a really cool place to go too, I have visited once when I was younger but have not been back since. I have also wanted to visit Italy again, especially Pompeii. I also love trying new restaurants. I have never been to New Orleans, but I am a big fan of Cajun food. Love the dog, mine is a mutt and we are still unsure what he is a mix of.

  5. Hi Anna! I too LOVE boxers! Bama is adorable!! I love cooking too. I really want to learn how to make sushi too. I actually studied abroad in Italy last summer. It was the journey program so we got to go all over it was super fun!! I don't know any Italian so that was a pretty big barrier. I also LOVE Star wars and Marvel. I am nervous for the future of these studios though. I am super pumped because I get to go to Galaxy's Edge this summer and I can not wait. Have you been yet?

  6. Hey Anna,
I’m also a psychology major, but I want to get a masters in Counseling Psychology. I think it’s really cool that you want to go into forensics and the FBI. You like the show Criminal Minds, and maybe one day you can be just like them. I also like Marvel and Criminal Minds and fro-yo and sushi. However, I’m scared I’ll die eating sushi one day because I eat really fast and sometimes I choke on the seaweed.

  7. Howdy Anna, that’s a super cool academic to career path goal; I feel like those should all transition super well which is ideal. If you’re into consistent TV watching and the police/investigation style television shows, definitely check out True Detective on HBO, although really only seasons 1 and 3. Season 1 is potentially my favorite season of a tv show thus far, but it’s pretty rough – as a heads up. Best of luck in all endeavors.

  8. Hi Anna! I am also from Houston, specifically the Katy area. Not many people from my school went to OU, so it's cool to see someone from Houston here. Your career goals are straight out of an action movie, but also very important in the real world. Best of luck with the semester, and I hope you can work for the FBI one day!

  9. Ciao Anna!
I really liked your Italian comment! I studied Italian a lot and worked really hard to become somewhat conversational, so my question is: Quanti anni hai studiato italiano? Hai visitato mai in Italia? Voglio anche diventare fluente in italiano, quindi buona fortuna (o come gli italiani, in boca al lupo!)
Sorry if that was too much Italian, I just try to take any excuse I can to practice because I want to be fluent one day too! Speaking multiple languages would be so helpful if you want to work at the FBI so good luck and I look forward to your stories!

  10. Hi Anna!
Wow! Congratulations on graduating so early. Forensic psychology sounds like a super interesting field, and it sounds like you have high goals with what you hope on pursuing within it. That is awesome you have had the opportunity to travel so much this past year! I love traveling to different National Parks across the United States. What's your favorite place you've been?
    Good luck!

  11. Hi Anna, nice to meet you! I am also a Psychology major, see you at graduation haha! Okay, wow… joining the FBI, that is such a cool goal to have. I would love that for you and I can tell you are passionate about it too. I also love to cook, but sadly some of my least favorite foods are sushi and fro-yo. I am a texture person, so there are just some things I can't eat. But most of my friends love sushi and fro-yo! I also love Italy and studied abroad there a couple of summers ago!

  12. Hello Anna,
The FBI, huh? That's pretty intense. I don't think I've got the guts for that, but I applaud you! Your dog is super cute. I like sushi too, but only certain types- I can't handle the texture of the slimier ones. Blegh. Sushi is pretty easy to make though! You should try making some simple rolls first. Definitely worth it. Looking forward to reading your writing this semester.

  13. Hi Anna! I love love love sushi and fro-yo. My favorite sushi place in Norman is Volcano sushi over in Brookhaven (I think that is what it is called). They have the best rolls. I always get a salmon roll and cucumber roll, but the penguin roll is really awesome too. I have made my own sushi before and it is not as hard as you think! I got a little kit online and now I make little veggie rolls for lunch. Great intro post and I wish you good luck this semester.

  14. Hi Anna! Congrats on graduating this semester! I'm also graduating this semester, so wishing you luck post-grad! Forensic psychology is such an interesting path too and I hope you achieve your dream in becoming part of the FBI! Your dog Bama is also super adorable and I love boxers! It also looks like you've traveled a lot this summer and I'm so jealous! Hoping to try Cafe Du Monde sometime. Good luck this semester!

  15. Hey Anna! Wow! Graduating at only 20 years old. That's crazy! I have one little brother who just turned 18. I can't imagine having three younger siblings! A tip about (hopefully) making sushi one day: remember that "sushi" is technically just the rice! So have fun with the fillings! (Just go easy on the wasabi. I've made that mistake before.)

  16. Hi Anna,
I think it is really cool what you have decided to study and hopefully have a career in! Potentially joining the FBI sounds like it would be such a cool job. You have a couple of pretty high skilled hobbies with piano and golf. Really cute picture of your dog. Hope that you have good rest of the semester!
